BUCKINGHAM Town are hoping to officially announce their new manager on January 15.
The Robins have been without a permanent manager since Steve Orchard left the club with Daniel Kingston taking temporary charge until 2013.
And the club seem to be on the verge of appointing a new manager.
Chairman Vince Hyde said: “The committee has had several applications and meetings with candidates for the position over the last couple of months with varying experience and abilities.
“We started negotiations with a stand out candidate in early December and he will be taking charge in the next couple of weeks.
“When it is signed off we will give an official announcement, currently Robbo (Chris Robson) has offered to help Dan (Kingston) out whilst he is injured.
“I hoped that 2012 would have been better, it has been very challenging and hard work but I hope all that hard work will pay off.
“Over the next few weeks I hope to bring more good news and make 2013 a 130-year anniversary to remember.”
