Winslow appoint Shrieves as joint manager

Winslow United FC have appointed Terry Shrieves as the club’s joint manager to work alongside current boss Perry Mercer for the 2013-14 campaign.

Shrieves has a wealth of experience at non-league level as both a player and a manager. The former Millwall youth player played for Buckingham Town in the early 1980s before he moved to Conference side Kettering Town in 1984.

The striker also had spells with Aylesbury United and Boreham Wood before going onto manage Newport Pagnell for six years.

Winslow have also announced a change in the club’s management structure, with Peter Boyce named as assistant manager, while Kit Bamber remains as head coach.

Chris Swindale is the head physiotherapist, assisted by Rachel Try, and Gareth Robins is United’s Reserve team manager and he will have a new assistant in Tyrone Da Silva.

Winslow United have announced seven pre-season fixtures so far. They open up with a home game against Notts County U18s on Wednesday, July 17, before entertaining AFC Rushden two days later.

Other pre-season fixtures: Aylesbury (H), July 23; Rushden & Higham (H), July 26; Mursley United (A), July 27; Olney (A), July 30; Grendon Rangers (A), August 3.
