Winslow United began their pre-season campaign with a 4-2 win over an MK Dons XI at Elmfields Gate on Monday night.
In front of a good crowd which included MK Dons chairman Pete Winkleman with his wife Bernie and their son Bobby, first team manager Karl Robinson, academy manager Mike Dove and former Leeds United and Luton Town player Kevin Nichols, the teams were led out by players from United’s Academy.
MK Dons started brightly and took an eighth minute lead with a lob over Owusu but that was cancelled out by Brandon Graham’s controlled finish after a pin-point 35-yard pass from George Shrieves.
Winslow took control and went close on numerous occasions, with Graham at the heart of everything, before Drew Mitten put the home side in front with a curling shot from the edge of the area.
MK Dons drew level early into the second half but again Winslow went ahead through Graham’s second of the game following good work from Vinny Shrieves and Jamie O’Grady.
Graham then capped a fine display as he set up Shrieves for a fourth to seal an impressive Winslow victory.
