The Silverstone-based Sahara Force India team rolled out their brand new 2015 Grand Prix car, the VJM08, during a spectacular event at the Soumaya Museum in Mexico City on Wednesday.
The striking Mercedes-Benz powered car will be driven by Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez, and both drivers were present in Mexico for the launch ceremony.
Force India team principal Vijay Mallya said: “It’s another evolution of the contemporary look we introduced last year, which reflects the growth of the team and the global brands with which we are working.
“I love the addition of silver, which makes the car appear more sleek and aggressive and I’m sure it’s something that will appeal to the fans as well.
“Our traditional team colours remain integrated in the livery, but we’ve given it a very modern twist.”
The VJM08 car will have its first test at the second pre-season F1 test of the year in Barcelona next month. The team will use the 2014-specification VJM07 at the opening F1 test of 2015 at Jerez starting next weekend.
