In the Buckingham Advertiser Cup, holders Thornborough made a successful start to their defence by beating Preston Bissett by 58 runs.
L.Tomlinson hit 47 and A.Burch 36 in Thornborough total of 134-4. In reply Preston were all out for 76 with T.North taking 6-13.
Great Horwood beat Maids Moreton in a low scoring match. Batting first, Moreton were bowled out for only 26, S.Ridgway 3-6, then Horwood replied with 27-5 to win by five wickets.
The closest match of the round saw Marsh Gibbon defeat Fringford by five runs. Marsh posted 105-6 with N.Kiam scoring 50 while T.Jones took 2-2.
In reply Fringford finished on 100-6. M.Hilsdon made 33 with A.Wallace taking 3-15.
Brackley restricted Gawcott to 108-4, D.Hooper hitting 46, then replied with 109-5 to win by five wickets. D.Heager made 36 and D.Stanger grabbed 2-24.
Westbury defeated Syresham by seven wickets. Batting first, Syresham were all out for 84 with D.Hopkins taking 5-19.
A.Abbotts hit 38, then S.Boardman scored 59 as Westbury reached their target for the loss of three wickets.
