Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg clinched victory at a chaotic Silverstone Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon.
In a race featuring two safety cars, Rosberg drove calmly amid the chaos around him, with Mark Webber second and Fernando Alonso third.
Rosberg’s team-mate at the Brackley-based Mercedes team, Lewis Hamilton, also had an eventful race. Starting on pole, the Brit appeared in control of the race leading from the front before a tyre failure saw him drop to last, but he fought back to finish fourth.
Meanwhile, Silverstone’s Sahara Force India team enjoyed a strong race as both drivers finished in the points, with Adrian Sutil seventh and Paul di Resta ninth.
