With a number of matches postponed due to frozen pitches, the focus this week was very much on Bicester M3s, who travelled to Maidenhead in a battle between two teams vying for promotion to Division Six of the MBBO.
The visitors started strongly and took a deserved early lead when Chris Coleman struck a reverse stick shot through the legs of the Maidenhead goalkeeper.
Bicester continued to press and they were rewarded with a second goal after a clever finish from Jordi Chester.
This seemed to galvanise the hosts, who went on the attack and scored two goals in quick succession to level at 2-2, but Bicester re-took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Will Hartley fired a shot into the corner of the net.
In an even second half, the next goal was to prove crucial and it was Bicester who scored it when Birtles bundled the ball over the line.
Maidenhead launched a series of attacks on the Bicester goal, striking the post, and causing Ian Quinton in goal to make some fine saves, but the visitors held on for a sixth straight win that consolidates their position in second.
