Brackley’s miserable season continued on Saturday when they were unable to field a side for the second consecutive week to concede a walkover to top-of-the-table Vipers.
The Leicestershire outfit did, however, agree to play a friendly with uncontested scrums, which they won by a mammoth 64 points as a depleted Brackley side failed to score a single point.
Though Brackley showed a willingness to compete, realistically they were never in with a chance as Vipers racked up 10 tries and seven conversions. The one positive Brackley could take from the day was the welcome reappearance of centre Mario Vaiese (pictured)after long-term injury.
This weekend Brackley, who are second bottom in Midlands Three East (South), face mid-table Daventry.
