Buckingham annual rugby festival

BUCKINGHAM Rugby Club have announced that their annual Christmas Charity Rugby Tournament will kick-off at 1pm on Thursday, December 27.

At least eight teams will compete for the Harper/PBF Charity Shield, including last year’s victors Old Latin XV and runners-up Olney Vets.

Also taking part are the Harper Wood Vets, Buckingham Presidents XV, Pot Belly Farmers and Kolts & Bulldogs.

Players will pay a £15 match fee donation while it’s £5 for adult spectators and free for children. Players are to meet at 12pm for a 1pm kick off with a disco at 7.30pm as well as a barbecue.

That nominated charities are University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre and the Kirk Nokes Memorial Fund.
