The men at Buckingham Golf Club continued to participate in the annual Turkey Trot competitions this month.

Despite the damp conditions, scoring was impressive with Jason Kerrison playing nine strokes below handicap to get the bird with 44 points, two clear of Jason Eggleton, who beat Steve Leyland on countback. In Division Two, 41 points was enough to earn Peter Ambrose the bird. John Scarrott and Andy Green were a shot behind.

TT3 saw Dave Dallaway take the honours in Division One as he carded a gross level par round to score an excellent 43 points. That put him two points clear of Chris Johnson, while 43 points was also good enough to win Division Two, as Brian Smith played nine strokes below handicap. Lee Moran took second spot with 41 points.

Forty-three points continued to be the benchmark in TT4 with Eddie Caulfield winning Division One and Steve Darwin Division Two.

Meanwhile, the winners of all this year’s medal competitions in the ladies’ section contested the Medal Winners’ Trophy. Mo Dawson came out on top with a nett 74, putting her two strokes clear of in-form youngster, Karen Robinson, who edged out Liz Harris-Ulph on countback.
