Buckingham Ladies Hockey Club’s IIs continued their utter dominance of Trysports Premier One with a rampant 9-0 victory over Phoenix & Ranelagh.
The team have won all 11 games this season, scoring 63 goals and conceding just three in the process, to lead by three points from Reading IIs.
On Saturday, a full-strength Buckingham side dominated from start to finish with three short corners and a missed penalty flick setting the tone before they scored three goals in quick succession.
The first came from Ella Cusack, which was followed by a quickfire double from Fi Farley, who then went onto complete a first half hat-trick.
Kirsty Freshwater added a fifth for a rampant Buckingham before their dominance continued in the second period with Cusack netting her second.
One errant deflection off a lifted ball hit captain Andrea Freshwater on the hand and resulted in her going to hospital with two broken fingers.
Unfazed, Charlie Coubme converted the resulting short corner for Buckingham’s seventh before two late goals from Jaz Needham finally ended Phoenix’s misery at 9-0.
Buckingham travel to Wycombe IIs this weekend.
