Buckingham Squash Club to hold Open Day

NEWLY-PROMOTED Buckingham Squash Club have made a steady start to the new season after six matches in Buckinghamshire League II Division.

The team has achieved three wins and three losses so far which leaves them sitting in mid-table.

Buckingham opened the season with a 19-2 loss to Chesham Bois Juniors but they have since beaten Chesham 1879 (14-8), RAF (16-10) and Chesham Bois Upstarts (15-11).

The 2012/13 team comprises of Torben Kuseler, who is the number one ranking member of the team, new squad member, Dominic West, captain Darren Trotter, Angus Roche and Phil Davies at number five.

Trotter said: “We have had a positive start to the season. A challenging step change into a higher division has meant that we must rise to the challenge.

“I believe we have thus far succeeded in our strategy for the year.”

With so much to draw upon, Buckingham Squash Team are next in action on Tuesday at Buckingham Swan Pool. 
Meanwhile, Buckingham Squash and Racketball Club are to hold an Open Day at Buckingham Swan Pool tomorrow from 9am.

Free lessons and fun tutorials will be given by qualified coaches on the day and it will offer beginners, juniors or those with experience a real insight into the club and the sport.

Great offers will be available including a raffle, discounted membership and naturally tea, coffee, juice and biscuits will be on offer.

The club are keen to meet as many people as possible so they urge anyone who is interested to go down and discover why the country remains as the best in the world for squash.
