Buckingham U15s retained their Bucks County Cup title after racking up a dominant 43-3 win over Amersham & Chiltern in the final.
For the third year in succession, the Buckingham squad were contesting the cup final, and it wasn’t long before Buckingham went ahead when Mike Taylor broke to score under the posts and Max Nagy converted.
After a series exchanges between the forwards at the breakdown, Beaconsfield successfully kicked a penalty, but Will Ellis converted Matt Wells’ try to give Buckingham a 14-3 half-time lead.
Having made changes at the break, Buckingham picked up the pace and intensity of their attack and regularly broke the gain line with Craig Coxon extending the lead.
Straight from kick-off, Coxon went over for his second and was followed by Ellis and then Tom Miller before Ollie Bradford scored Buckingham’s seventh and final try as they eased over the line to retain their title of county champions.
