Towcester Ladies 1st XI were on the wrong end of some clinical finishing as they were beaten 5-1 by Beeston.

Having gone 3-0 down after 20 minutes, Towcester were always going to struggle despite creating plenty of chances.

Katherine Pittam gave Towcester a glimmer of hope from a well-worked short corner but the hosts eased to victory with two further goals. Towcester face Harborne away this weekend.

Towcester 2nd XI, meanwhile, produced a tireless performance to beat Harborne 4-2.

Laura Abbott opened the scoring with a powerful strike and Kirsty Smith doubled their lead before Harborne scored two quick goals to level.

Nicoola Panel’s neat finish gave Towcester the lead back and victory was secured by Abott late on as Becky English and Laura White were named Players of the Match.

Finally, the 3rd XI thrashed Northampton Saints 5th XI 6-0.

Producing some accurate and slick passing, Towcester dominated from the start and cruised to victory with two goals from Kate Smith and Laura Simpson while Grace Roberts and Issy Plumbridge picked up a goal each.
