Sahara Force India driver Sergio Perez is hoping to claim his first points of the 2016 F1 World Championship in China this weekend.
The Mexican racer has failed to finish inside the top ten in the opening two races, but is now keen to kick-start his challenge.
He said: “I always enjoy going to China. Shanghai is an interesting city and you always receive good support from the fans.After two disappointing race I want to get my season started properly. The team is upbeat and everybody is pushing to get more performance from the car. We are heading in the right direction.”
Nico Hulkenberg is ninth in the standings for Force India.
The Bicester-based Toro Rosso squad also hope to score points with Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz.
Verstappen arrives for the race placed eighth in the championship race, with Sainz 12th.
Nico Rosberg leads the championship for the Brackley-based Mercedes AMG Petronas team having won both opening races.
