JOHN Field is the 2012 Buckingham Golf Club champion after winning the club championship over two rounds on Saturday.
The conditions were difficult with the damp and clinging rough as well as a stiff breeze.
The men played their two rounds on Saturday while the ladies opted to their play 36 holes on Sunday.
After a narrow contest, Field pipped Robin Long and Steve Clarke by one shot having recorded a score of 147 on the par-71 course.
He also took the handicap competition with a net score of 139.
Kevin Easton finished second on 140 and Ben Baxter was third, just one stroke back on 141.
On the following day, Kerry Summer was declared Ladies Club champion after carding 162 with Bernie Howe taking second place, five shots back.
Jane Nicholls won the handicap competition having scored a net 150, followed by Christina Hancock on 155.
The only other men’s competition this week was the midweek stableford, which was won by Eddie Caulfield as he racked up an impressive 41 points, one ahead of Tim Brown and two clear of Neil Tanner.
On Monday, the ladies competed for the Senior Trophy in more tough conditions as the scoring showed.
Helen Bateman needed only 32 points to be triumphant ahead of Diane Hofman and Viv Parker, both with 31.
