At the annual general meeting of Bicester Rugby Club, president John Deeley praised the efforts of 1st XV skipper Dan Spencer and coach Alec Smith for their hard work in successfully turning the club round from the previous season when they were relegated from Southern Counties North.
Alec Smith was happy with the skill levels and commitment of his players and felt that with a little more good fortune, they could have added to their league victories in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier Division.
In the minis junor section, chairman Andy Gordon thanked everyone for their work in achieving some excellent results in tournaments and festivals held throughout the county.
He received the Richard Jackson Trophy for his outstanding contribution to the minis/junior section of the club.
Bicester are looking to recruit new players for next season. Light training will start at the club on Tuesday June 14 at 7pm.
