Buckingham Snooker Club kicked off their campaign in this season’s Milton Keynes City Snooker League with losses for both of their teams.

The club have entered two sides into the Prem A Division this year – the Buckingham Bandits and Buckingham Eagles.

The Bandits opened up against last year’s champions MKSC Matchroom, who proved to be too strong as they won 8-1.

Both Martin Moors and Steve Brunning began well but faded while Dave Tuxford also went down to a good 37 break before he convincingly won the final match to take a point.

The Eagles were at home to newly promoted Kiln Farm team Foul 2 Visits.

Rees Carter started the match as he and Christian Hill won a frame each while also losing one each.

Iain Ripo finished off the encounter with two losses as Foul 2 Visits won 7-2.
