Towcester duo to compete at Paralympics

GABI Down and Craig McCann from Touché Fencing Club in Towcester are set to compete in the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.

At 14 years old, Gabi will be one of the youngest competitors in London where she competes alongside Craig for the British Paralympic wheelchair fencing team.

The Games begin on Wednesday, August 29, with the wheelchair fencing starting on September 4.

Gabi’s biggest success thus far is winning a silver medal at the Warsaw Junior competition in 2011 and she will be targeting more medal success in London.

Meanwhile, Craig has represented GB at several international events.
