BRACKLEY Sports Reserves moved upto third spot in the North Bucks League Intermediate Division with a comfortable 2-0 home win over MK Titans Reserves last Saturday.

Lowe and Alcock were on target for the hosts, who have closed the gap on leaders Great Horwood to one point.

Horwood maintained their unbeaten run with a 9-1 home trouncing of Division One basement side Westbury in the Interdivisional Trophy first round. Reynolds fired a hat-trick, aided by Sirrett (2), S.Archer. T.Archer, Cronin and Brunning.

Second-placed City Colts were 4-2 winners at Olney Town in the Interdivisional Trophy preliminary round.

Syresham are now seventh in the Intermediate Division after a 1-0 victory at Wicken Sports.Steeple Claydon went down 4-2 to fifth-placed Celtic MK at home, Davis and Walker the Claydon scorers.

In the Premier Division there were contrasting results for the top and bottom sides. Leaders MK Wanderers drubbed Stewkley 6-2 at home, while anchor team Buckingham Town Reserves lost 3-0 at home to Southcott Village RA. Great Linford were 5-1 winners at Wolverton Town.

In Division One, Grendon Rangers Reserves opened a six-point gap at the top of the table following a narrow 3-2 success at second-placed Bow Brickhill Reserves.

Syresham Reserves drew 2-2 at home with Marsh Gibbon, Charriaux and an own goal making up the Syresham tally. Potterspury Reserves thrashed Deanshanger Athletic Reserves 6-1, Ferguson grabbing a four-timer for Potterspury, with Johnson and Lamb the other scorers.

In Division Two, Buckingham University are creeping up the table, their 8-1 home success over Wolverton Town Reserves lifting them to third spot.

Whitecross and Ibk notched braces apiece for the hosts. Darius and Shinn scoring the other goals. Leaders City Colts Reserves drew 2-2 at home with second-placed MK Wanderers A. Wicken Sports Reserves trounced Marsh Gibbon Reserves 5-1, Scott netting for Marsh.

Silverstone Reserves enjoyed a thrilling 5-4 home win over basement outfit Great Horwood Reserves. Sarson grabbed a brace for the hosts, with Davis, Walsh and Fleming also on target.

In the Interdivisional Trophy preliminary round, Real Padbury crashed 9-2 to Denbigh Hall Sports & Social. Wood and Moreton netted for Padbury.

Grendon Rangers were narrow 3-2 home winners over Woughton in the Interdivisional Trophy first round, A.Perna hitting two goals and N.Perna the other.

Twyford United went down 5-2 at MK Churches also in the trophy, while Thornborough Athletic edged Charlton & District 5-4 in the same competition, Thickbroom notching a double for the hosts, Watts, Lightfoot and Kelsaw firing home also. Thompson (2), Butler and Kennedy were Charlton’s hitmen.

In the Northants FA Junior Cup first round, Yardley Gobion lost 9-1 at Netherton United, while Deanshanger Athletic gained a fine 2-1 home win over Peterborough Northern Star. Burton United edged Silverstone 2-1, while Potterspury lost 4-2 at Northampton Denton, Willetts netting a brace for the visitors.
