Towcestrians secured their second win of the season from two matches as they beat Helmdon by eight wickets despite weather interruptions in South Northants Cricket League Division Four.
Skipper Kevin Hawkins elected to bowl after winning the toss and opening bowler James Kirk started in fine style by conceding only two runs from a seven-over spell.
Fellow opening bowler Andy Cater also impressed by taking three wickets in his 10 overs, conceding 26 runs in the process.
Nick Hulatt then got in on the act to take four wickets for 16 runs while youngster Ed Penn also contributed with1-23 in five overs to help bowl Helmdon out for 68 in 29 overs.
A heavy downpour at tea delayed the Tows reply but openers Ollie Drage and James Kirk (40) made a steady start before David Roberts and Tom Sheppard eased Towcestrians home by eight wickets to claim their second win from two matches.
Tows, who currently top the table, host Wardington this weekend.
