After racing historic cars at Silverstone Classic, Chris Ward has now set his sights on racing his Mondiale M89S in the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone in November.

Chief instructor at the Silverstone Driving Centre, Ward has tasted Formula Ford success in the past and after several years work, his own Mondiale is now on the verge of completion to appear in the season-ending Walter Hayes Trophy.

Regarded as the world’s biggest and best Formula Ford event, the Walter Hayes Trophy looks set to attract another great entry of cars from around the world.

Silverstone-based Ward said: “My aim is to have the Mondiale in the WHT this year. It really is a must do event for all Formula Ford racers and I have always wanted to take part in the meeting.”
