REAL Padbury’s rise up the North Bucks Division Two table was halted with 1-0 defeat at Wicken Sports Reserves, Hetherington the scorer.

It was a good weekend for Grendon Rangers. In the Premier Division the first team still have a chance of title honours after slamming Potterspury 4-0 at home to move upto to sixth in the table. Perna grabbed a hat-trick for Rangers with Brooks their other scorer. Potterspury slipped to third spot.

In the Marsworth Reserve Cup, Grendon Rangers Reserves ran out 4-0 winners at Downley Albion Reserves, Chaudrey grabbing a brace for Grendon. Southcott Village RA are the new leaders of the Premiership after a 4-1 home success over basement side Buckingham Town Reserves, Kelsaw, Watts and Parker netting for the visitors.

Seventh-placed Brackley Sports lost ground with a 3-2 home defeat at Wolverton Town. Silverstone were 2-1 home winners over Loughton Manor, Bliss and Ahearne netting for Silverstone, while Yardley Gobion drew 1-1 with MK Titans.

In the Intermediate Division, Brackley Sports Reserves topped the table with a 2-1 home success over Denbigh Hall Sports, a Delvalle strike and an own goal making up their tally. Mid-table Syresham drubbed strugglers AFC Santander 8-0 away. Wicken Sports won 4-1 at anchor team Olney.In Division One, sixth-placed Charlton & District chalked up their ninth win of the season 2-1 at Deanshanger Athletic Reserves. Knight and Scott netting. A clash of the bottom two sides saw Twyford United edge Westbury 2-1, Taylor and Corben firing home for hosts United.

In Division Two, Buckingham University beat Steeple Claydon Reserves 2-0 at home. In the Interdivisional Trophy second round Steeple Claydon saw off Marsh Gibbon 4-0, Gibbs grabbing a brace, with Brigden and Roberts their other scorers, while Thornborough Athletic lost 4-2 at home to Stewkley, Parker hitting a double for Athletic.
