“As many will know, due to the ban on mass gatherings, we have had to postpone our date with The Damned from 18 May 2020 to 2 November 2020. Tickets already purchased will be valid for the new date.

At the moment the Friars Aylesbury dates with Big Big Train (16 July) and The Flaming Lips (24 July) are still in the diary but we are in close contact with both bands about a possible Plan B should we be prevented from going ahead due to the lockdown.

We will be issuing another update in May as things become clearer.

Music is always an important part of our lives and is a place we all turn to no matter what is going on around us. Some of us are doing our top 10 albums on Facebook with one each day. If you’re doing that, or have done it, let us know by posting on the Friars Group Facebook page.

We’re also thinking of reviving the Friars Poll wherein we ask you for your favourite FA band, favourite support band and bands you’d like to see at Friars in the future. Watch this space.

We can’t wait to start presenting live gigs again.”
