The new term started this week at Buckingham Art School.

The school was started in April 2010 by a pair of local artists, Zoë Day and Debs Last, and moved into its new out-of-town premises in a barn conversion at Stowe Castle Business Park, in October 2011.

The school offers something for everyone at all levels and abilities, with classes in watercolours, acrylics, oils, drawing, mixed media, life drawing, portraiture, children’s classes, and calligraphy.

For those wishing to gain a qualification in art, the school runs courses at GCSE, AS-level and A-level, and has been awarded full accreditation as an AQA examination centre at all three levels.

It also holds an early evening GCSE Support class for Year 9 students and above, designed to support the GCSE curriculum taught in schools and prepare students who have not yet started.

There’s also a fun after-school class for children aged eight to 14 and a manga and comic club on Saturdays.
