PICTURE lover Nigel Tufrey never goes anywhere without his camera.
And that’s how he was able to capture this fantastic picture of a field of rapeseed in Howes Lane.
The snap has been chosen as the winner of this month’s ‘Why I Love Bicester’ photography competition.
Nigel will now be the owner of a fabulous 12in x 12in canvas of his picture.
He said: “I have had an interest in photography since 1990 when I went on a trip to Canada with my father.
“When I’m out and about I take the camera with me. This picture came when I was out on my bike.
“I was on my way down to Middleton Stony and it was just lucky. It was a beautiful carpet of yellow and the sky was a nice blue.
“I have photographed nearly every part of Bicester now, including several of the church from different angles, and quite a lot of The Garth.
“There are all sorts of photo opportunities in Bicester.”
Our contest gives readers the chance to send us their pictures showing why they love the town so much – with the winner of the best picture of the month taking home a 12in x 12in canvas.
The competition is run in partnership with 86 Creative Print. And they are putting up the magnificent prize.
86 Creative Print Ltd offer a complete design, print and photocopy service from Telford Road, Bicester.
