Year-old theatre is looking forward to a packed season

AFTER celebrating a successful first year, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre has announced a spring season that’s full of musicals, drama, dance and comedy.

Olivier Award-winning Broadway and West End sensation Legally Blonde comes to town from January 31 to February 4, starring Ray Quinn, Les Dennis and Claire Sweeney,

The writers of sell-out sensation Dreamboats And Petticoats return with a host of 1960s hits in Save The Last Dance For Me, from February 13 to 18.

The Rat Pack – Live From Las Vegas are back from February 20 to 25.

Be swept away to the South Pacific from May 15 to 26, as the hit landmark musical comes to Aylesbury following a sell-out season at London’s Barbican.

Drama lovers will welcome The Lady In The Van, from April 24 to 28, by top British playwright Alan Bennett.

And don’t miss the return of the National Theatre, whose autumn tour of One Man, Two Guvnors starring James Corden was a sell-out success. This time award-winning actor Anthony Sher stars in the funny and fascinating Travelling Light from March 27 to 31.

J. B. Priestley’s classic thriller An Inspector Calls, directed by Oscar-nominated Stephen Daldry, arrives direct from its fourth West End season from March 20 to 24.

The Russian State Ballet and Orchestra of Siberia perform La Fille Mal Garde and Swan Lake from March 15 to 17.

Waltz back in time with the Johann Strauss Gala on January 18, while Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag dance to fabulous Gershwin tunes on March 4.

Grab your girlfriends for non-stop laugh-out-loud musical comedy with Gillian Taylforth – Girls Night from June 12 to 16. Join Beverley Callard and the Hormonal Housewives as they battle weight gain, mood swings, wine and PMS on March 25. Or enjoy a top male glamour show with the Dreamboys: Full Frontal 2012 Tour, on April 20.
