The feel-good musical comedy Sister Act is coming to the Royal and Derngate next week.
Based on the film of the same name, it is performed by the Northampton Musical Theatre Company (NMTC) from Tuesday October 27 to Saturday October 31.
Deloris Van Cartier is a nightclub singer and wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses her boyfriend committing a crime. To protect her, the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look – a convent! Once Deloris is in the convent, she helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.
Peter Thorn, NMTC’s Business Manager, said “NMTC prides itself on their professional-quality productions, and this year we have a particularly excellent cast.”
Beth Hodgson plays Deloris with Matthew Berrill plays the role of her boyfriend Curtis.
Tickets are priced from £10 to £22 with concession rates and group discounts available. To book tickets call the box office on 01604 624811 or visit www.royalandderngate.co.uk.
