Laughter all round at village comedy night

The residents of Padbury are in for a laugh as a star-studded comedy night will be held in the village hall on Thursday, November 28.

Headlining the event is Nick Page, a presenter on BBC Two’s Escape to the Country and, according to comedian Rhod Gilbert, ‘the best story-teller on the circuit’.

Also performing on the night is Ben Van Der Velde who has been dubbed ‘an accomplished comic’ by Time Out and Padbury resident Patrick Morris. The 21-year-old comedian, who has taken two shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and regularly performs in London, recently supporting Russell Kane. Patrick has been a stand-up comedian since the age of 18.

Doors open at 7.15pm for an 8pm start.

Tickets are £10/£8 for concessions and can be reserved by e-mailing or bought on the door.

Those who have reserved a ticket will get a complimentary glass of wine, beer/lager or soft drink. There is also a licensed bar on the night.
