A cosmic tale of adventure and the chance to create everything from a glass slipper to a spooky canvas bag are just some of the things for children to enjoy during the half term holiday from school.
There’s a whole host of activities on at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury this coming week, leading towards Halloween.
And things get off to a frightful start with Spooky Canvas Bag making from 10.30am - 3.30pm on Wednesday (October 26).
A flexi drop off system will be in operation where children can arrive from 9am and remain until 5pm, so it’s an ideal activity for busy families. Spaces cost £30, the theme is Halloween and participants will have the chance to create and decorate their own canvas bag.
From 10am - 1pm on Thursday (October 27) there is a family open morning with a range of activities. Tickets £5 per child, adults free.
There’s a chance to transform a simple shoe into a fairy tale slipper fit for a princess on Friday (October 28) with sessions from 10am-noon and from 1-3pm. Spaces cost £13 for one adult and child combination and £5 for an additional child.
And on Saturday October 29 there will be a performance of Alfie White Space Explorer at noon.
Alfie is crazy about space and his dad is training to be the first man on the moon.
At least that is what Alfie tells his schoolmates.
In fact his dad has disappeared without a trace as if swallowed up by a black hole. Together with his best friend Meg, Alfie sets out on a daring mission to find his dad.
But where on earth (or in space) is he?
This cosmic tale of adventure and discovery is for everyone aged five and upwards. Tickets £8.50.
Running time 55 minutes with no interval.
