Award-winning actor Robert Lindsay and comedian Rufus Hound will be starring in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels when it comes to the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre from February 26 to March 1 next year, prior to its West End run.
Based on the 1988 film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, this will be the UK premiere of this new production.
Robert Lindsay will be starring as Lawrence Jameson, a sophisticated conman on the French Riviera whose world starts crashing down with the arrival of Freddy Benson – a conman of a different order.
The two find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all the stops in a bid for the affections of millionaire soap heiress Christine Colgate.
Lindsay is best known for his role on My Family, which ran for nine series, while Hound is best known as a comedian, TV and radio personality and performer.
Performances will take place from 7.30pm, from Wednesday to Saturday, with a 2.30pm matinee on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Tickets went on sale on Monday and are available from the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre box office on 0844 8717607 or online at www.atgtickets.com/aylesbury.
