Well-known star of stage and screen Simon Callow comes to the Aylesbury Waterside theatre next week with two one-man plays by Charles Dickens, after a sell-out London run.

He tells the stories of Dr Marigold, a travelling salesman who adopts a little deaf and dumb girl and Mr Chops, a freak-show turn who wins the lottery and a place in society.

The plays were very popular when Dickens used to perform them himself.

Simon Callow has appeared in many films, including Four Weddings And A Funeral, A Room with A View, Howard’s End and Shakespeare In Love.

The show runs from Monday, October 17 to Saturday, October 22. Tickets from
