Trio of plays at inaugural drama festival

First South Northants Drama Festival is being held at Lois Weedon Village Hall on Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17.

Starting at 7.30pm, it features three plays.

Helmdon Bridge Players are performing a one-act play called Alternative Accommodation, about a recently widowed woman who is visited by her three children who have decided that the family house must be sold and their mother needs to move to alternative accommodation. But mother has other ideas.

Weston and Lois Weedon Drama Group are performing The Spy Who Came In For The Phone, a comedy set in the 1960s involving a telephone engineer, a newly married couple and a seductive Russian spy.

The third play is a ‘one hander’ called The Proceedings Of That Night, written by Lynne Truss
