Curtain call for amateur theatre group seeking new talent
Their next drama in May will be followed by The Frog Prince Pantomime, with auditions starting in September to go to stage in the early New Year. The last presentation, the pantomime The Wind Wind In The Willows, was sold out every night.
The society is looking to entice more members along to their club nights on a Tuesday at the theatre where they get together for a social, and more importantly to recruit new children between the ages of five and 18 for the pantomime. When at the club they will be cared for by chaperones, given refreshments, and there are no rehearsals through the two week Christmas break in December.

Luka Waycott, from the station photographic section, said: “The place is such a comfortable and friendly place to be that we don’t often have problems with nerves and the script can change from performance to performance with ad-libbing.”
Civilian members are welcome but military members are needed to keep the society running and at the moment the club’s military members are Andy Goodall and and Steve Mitchell.
