A group of organisations within the county has set up the survey with the aim of promoting and providing more inclusive services.

The partnership includes: Buckinghamshire County Council; Thames Valley Police; the Victim Support charity; the Women’s Aid charity, the SMART charity and the district councils.

Martin Phillips, cabinet member for community engagement and Public Health at the county council, said: “It is important we are engaged with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community in Buckinghamshire.

“Their views on community safety and wellbeing are integral to informing our approach.

“Our survey also supports LGBT History Month in February in order to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public. The more responses we have, the more informed we will be.”

The surveys asks respondents which sexuality and gender they most identify with.

It then asks whether theu have experienced discrimination, bullying or were unable to access services in Bucks in the last five years.

These include for social services, police, housing and health. It also asks respondents what would make them feel more comfortable LGBT services.

The survey closes on the 22nd February. To take part, visit: https://www.research.net/r/LGBTBUCKS
