Ray’s charity album appeal
This week marks seven years since Ray Coates, from Mount Street, Aylesbury, finished his treatment for the cancer which almost claimed his voice.
But miraculously Ray found not only his voice, but gained a great singing voice last year, and recorded single The Voice Within to raise money for the 20/20 Head and Neck Cancer charity.

But he is appealing for crowdfunding to help put the finishing touches to the work.
He said: “I feel really excited about this project, the more you do something the more it just snowballs and that is the effect that this has had.
“I really hope that people will support the project through Crowdfunder, they will get a copy of the album to say thank you, and all the proceeds will go to 20/20.

“It is such a worthwhile cause.”
Earlier this month Ray performed at Aylesbury Rugby Club as part of the Candle of Hope opening ceremony.
He started singing after losing confidence as a result of the gruelling treatment.
